The Bustos Water District in the Philippines, a Nobel Systems client, organized a workshop at a resort in the Bulacan Province to showcase the positive impact of Nobel ’s flagship product GeoViewer™. The GeoViewer demonstration showcased other products in the GeoViewer line, including GeoViewer Mobile, Work Order, and Billing systems.
Nobel System’s GeoViewer™ products utilize the latest smart-map and synchronization technology for utility asset management.
GeoViewer™ is easy to use and streamlines field workflow processes to help manage day-to-day operations. The GeoViewer™ Mobile app’s advanced technology allows field staff to view, analyze and collect data, online or offline without ever having to worry about impractical syncing procedures.
The application has the look and feel of Google Maps. Workflow processes are streamlined through a mobile app, either by pulling data seamlessly via Bluetooth or through simple drop-down menus.
Other utility districts and companies attended the GeoViewer demonstration, which began with a welcome address by Jose Adlai, the district’s General Manager, and an introduction by Nobel Systems President Michael Samuel.
GeoViewer™ was prominently highlighted as the crucial system used in managing the Busto Water District’s daily workflows.
Adlai explained how the use of GeoViewer™ is making a positive impact on the district and its customers by substantially reducing operating costs. Using GeoViewer™, district staff can locate pipes, valves, and meters. Staff can view assets on their desktops and mobile devices without sending someone to the field or manually be looking for locations.
June Reyes, Nobel’s Project Manager, showcased how the GeoViewer™ app is used by the Bustos Water District and also by Mabalacat Water District managers and employees. The water districts use GeoViewer™ to provide information to potential customers such as where meters are located, or if meters are to be installed.
Nobel Systems also introduced theGeoViewer™ Mobile field data collection module. With the module technicians out in the field conducting maintenance can collect and enter data on assets such as pipe or valve conditions, valve turns and torque, and any other maintenance data.
In the GeoViewer demonstration, Reyes also talked about how the GeoViewer™ Billing system, which is a GIS-based billing system that allows districts to generate bills while out in the field via a mobile device. District offices can use the app to monitor collection and receipt of payments.
Also, district staff can generate service orders to check for leaks, attend to customer complaints, re-read meters, monitor disconnects, meter replacements and several more functions. All these tasks are highlighted on a GIS map, and a routing system calculates the best routes for daily tasks.
