More cities are using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to enable residents to access information and detailed data about where they live and work. The City of Mission Viejo offers its citizens the GIS GeoViewer Public application developed by Nobel Systems.
The GIS GeoViewer Public View app provides detailed geographic information about properties, neighborhoods, and services within the city. The application can be accessed via a mobile or Web browser.
Paired with Nobel’s GeoViewer Online spatial analysis and geospatial platform, Public View ( called Community View by the city) is an online interactive smart map that gives communities and businesses the most up-to-date information to boost public engagement and collaboration. Public View can be accessed via any web browser, including mobile, empowering residents and businesses on the go.
Users enter an address to obtain information such as property lines, electric and water utility information, flood zones, district schools, trash pickup and street sweeping days, and detailed property/parcel information.
You can even get information on where street lights are located and a flood insurance rate map.
The Public View application is easy to use. Just click on an item in the left-side menu, and zoom in or click an address to view more detailed information, including photos [See video below or visit the GIS application on the city’s website here.].
The property portal gives tax parcel information including zoning, ownership, tax appraisal, and hazard information.
Other accessible data includes daily weather forecasts and Census tract information.
Nobel Systems creates customized GIS/ IoT applications for water utilities and districts and public and private municipalities.
