JOSHUA BASIN WATER DISTRICT CONTRACTS WITH NOBEL SYSTEMS TO PROVIDE AN ENTERPRISE CLOUD HOSTED GIS SYSTEM

Nobel Systems will implement its state-of-the-art cloud-hosted system for the Joshua Basin Water District in Joshua Tree, Calif. The water district will use Nobel’s flagship product GeoViewer™ to manage its utility assets.

Nobel Systems will provide both GeoViewer Online & Mobile to the district. Leveraging the latest smart-map and synchronization technology, Nobel’s GeoViewer is easy to use and is designed to streamline field workflow processes to help manage day-to-day operations.

GeoViewer’s advanced technology will allow Joshua Basin Water District field staff to view, analyze and collect data, online or offline without having to worry about impractical syncing procedures.

GeoViewer Mobile extends Nobel’s smart-map technology beyond the office and provides staff with real-time data to make accurate decisions and collaborate in both office and field environments. Nobel Systems will roll out the valve exercising DigMark, a hydrant flushing and leaks modules as part of the GeoViewer Mobile deliverable. Subsequently, Nobel Systems will provide a fully integrated Work Order system.

The Joshua Basin Water District was formed in 1963 by purchasing and combining several small water systems in the Joshua Tree area. It services about 94 square miles of territory and provides water to about 4,700 water meters and about 270 miles of pipeline.

The mission of the Joshua Basin Water District is to provide a high standard of water quality and customer service at responsible cost; to protect the water resources of Joshua Basin Water District; and to promote cooperation and respect with customers, employees, neighboring communities, and public-private agencies.
